     Easy Paper Mache Pumpkins

      A few weeks ago we made paper mache pumpkins. It was a very easy way to use up junk mail and plastic bags. If you have those things ( I am sure you do! ) then you can make some very festive pumpkins!


Things you will need:

• Junk mail
• Plastic bags
• School Glue
• A big bowl
• Rubber bands
• Orange and green paint

If you've grabbed all those things then you are set! Now I will tell you a few simple steps.

1. Stuff your plastic bag with shredded junk mail
2.  Tie the top in a way that looks like a stem (There is no standard for these, so don't worry.)
3. Stretch rubber bands around your pumpkin to make your authentic creases
4. Put glue and water in your big bowl 
5. Mix the glue and water 
6. Put your shredded junk mail in the bowl and stick it on your pumpkin ( We also used rinsed wet wipes. In my opinion it worked better.)
7. Let it dry for a few hours
8. Once dry, you can paint your pumpkin orange or any other color you would prefer
9. Paint your stem green and you are done!

We also added our initials on some of them if you would like to try that. I hope you will make these and have some new fall decorations, to put around your house! I bet they would be good centerpieces! :)
